The foods below are recommended because they alleviate excess mucus production and obstruction in the channels (energy and circulation). Due to this clogging function, disruption occurs in the detoxing organs as well as the channels for eliminating the excess in food and toxins. This dietary regimen and Chinese herbs for allergies will help to alleviate the condition. These foods are non-allergy causing. The foods thereafter have been shown to result in allergy conditions.
- Foods: bee pollen, honey, citrus seed, protein foods (small amount, often), onions, sprouted wheat, sprouted legumes, sprouted seeds, micro-algae, chlorophyll-rich foods, cereal grasses, liver support foods/herbs,

- Cereals: Oatmeal, Oat bran, Cream of rye, Puffed rice and millet, Diluted apple juice, apple slices, and nuts go well on cereal. Ingest soymilk but not included with corn oil or almond milk.
- Grains and flour: Bean flour, Buckwheat flour, 100% buckwheat soba noodles, Cooked whole gains, such as oats, millet, barley, buckwheat groats (kasha), rice macaroni, spelt (flour and pasta), brown rice, amaranth, quinoa, rice, or millet breads (that contain no dairy, eggs, sugar, or wheat), Potato flour, 100% rice cakes, Rice crackers, Rice flour, 100% rye or spelt bread with no wheat, Rye crackers, Soy flour
- Legumes: Black beans, Chickpeas, Kidney beans, Lentils, Navy beans, Peas, Soybeans, String beans, Tofu, Dried beans should be soaked overnight. Pour off the water and rinse before cooking. Canned beans frequently include extra sugar and/or additional likely allergens. Some cooked beans packaged in glass jars, and sold at health food stores, contain no sugar.
- Nuts and seeds: Nuts and seeds, either raw or roasted, without salt or sugar, Nut butters from health food stores or from fresh ground nuts (such as almond butter, cashew butter, walnut butter, sesame butter, and sesame tahini)

- Protein: tuna, salmon, and other Fresh fish, Lamb, Poultry and fowl
- Vegetables: All vegetables except corn are generally acceptable. For some vulnerable people, tomatoes cause imbalances may require avoidance.
Some people suffer from specific areas of congestion (Chinese herbs for allergies) such as post nasal drip, ear wax build-up, excess throat phlegm, etc. Herbal formulas will augmnent the recommendations above, so relief can be achieved. However, in the end, nutrition, mostly, is how the blockage developed and a remedial diet is the path out.
AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOOD:
- Peanuts are a common food allergen and should be avoided, along with peanut butter
- Canola oil (rapeseed)
- Lack of dietary changes will yield allergic conditions
- Excess consumption of food, This variable is determined by the individual’s current detox function.
- Glucan sensitive foods based on wheat (not every has this issue)
- Deadly Nightshade plants (tomatoes, egg plant, potatoes) minority suffer from this sensitivity.
- Sugars
- Excitotoxins (most sugar replacements except stevia, Agave nectar, etc.)
- Incomplete foods or Non-whole foods
- Breads made from flour as opposed to complete whole grain bread
As an individual becomes more toxic or builds up excess obstructive components in the body then the allergic conditions tend to increase unless you reverse the toxic pattern. You have to give your body a break until it finds its equilibrium. When this diet does not move the body quick enough into balance then Chinese herbs for allergies for elimination may be of benefit.

Don’t Pass This By! Here’s The Help With Anxiety You Were Asking For!
The cause of anxiety is well established. When enough stress is presented to the physical-mental-emotional body, nervous behaviors are likely to surface. Worry and excessive thought can interfere with preparation of rest and sleep. Internal organs deficient of energy will present with a long list of imbalancing symptoms such as high blood pressure, spasms, palpitations, restless leg and insomnia, etc. attributable to energy deficiency. Take care of yourself, remove distractions from rest, exercise, be around caring people until you can master the challenges you are confronted with. Eat nutritious food and take natural herbs that don’t add to the imbalance but rather help in re-establishing your center. Consider working with a counselor/pychotherapist to find alternatives to your current anxiety management strategies.
Here is a key element. Food choices which reduce the pre-condition for anxiety symptoms.
ANXIETY FREE DIET
Foods to Counter Anxiety: Apricot, Cherry, Date, Fig, Grape, Grapefruit, Olive, Papaya, Peach, Strawberry, Tomato, Beet, Button mushroom, Cabbage, Carrot, Celery, Chard, Cucumber, Eggplant, Kuzu, Lettuce, Potato, Shitake mushroom, Spearmint, Squash, Sweet Potato, Yam, Almond, Chestnut, Coconut, Sesame seed/oil, Sunflower seed, Amasake, stevia, Agave nectar, Ganoderm, Dill, Basil, Mulberry, Lemons, Brown rice, Oats, Ghee, Green tea
Foods to Avoid: Beef, Tofu, Tempeh, Soy milk, Spinach, Miso, Asparagus, , Millet, Salt, Seaweed, Tangerine, Pinenut, Persimmon, Pear, Honey, Sugar, Oyster, Clam, Mussel, Pork, Peanut
Processed Foods to Avoid: Artificial Sweeteners, Coffee, Wine (beyond 1 oz. per day), Baked Beans (sugar), Baked Goods (doughnuts, cakes contain excess trans fats, sugars), Breakfast Cereals (sugar, processed grain, low nutrition), Campbell’s Condensed Soups (hi sodium), pot pies (hi calory/fat), Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) foods, Hotdogs (unknown ingredients, sodium nitrate), Luncheon Meats (too many additives, sodium nitrate), Margarine (highly toxic), Ramen Noodles (no nutrients, excess sodium), Refined Vegetable Oils (corn, cottonseed, soybeans, safflower seeds and canola), Saltines (excess carb & sodium), Sausages & cured meats (too many additives, sodium nitrate), White & Wheat bread (no nutrition), White Pasta (extremely hi carb & sodium), White Potatoes (solanine-calcium depletion & arthritic pain), Chips & French fries, Cocktails (excess sugar/liver toxicity), Fruit Juice (loaded w/ sugar), Fruit Smoothie (loaded w/ syrup, make your own), Dairy products except goat’s milk (pure mucous), Sodas (removes rust from metal, excess carbon dioxide, imbalances digestive system), Excessive Protein (loss of calcium, damages kidneys)
When I had an anxiety attack, I didn’t know about nutrition and herbology and at that time, I could not imagine that traditional Chinese herbs would have been effective with other modalities of treatment. With prolonged stressed, it is essential that people get access to effective and powerful aids. Longevity is founded on healthy foods, herbs and natural medicinal approaches to health and balance.
Individual Constitution will affect outcomes from all foods. For instance, a person that has a cold constitution should not eat foods that make the body colder. Continued ingestion of cold food will make it hard to ignore the painful cold spots. Body functions will slow in pace. But in general the above selection benefits most people. If you want to get customized then I would suggest contacting, specifically, an Asian Medicine Herbalist. Notice I didn’t say accupuncturist. It is very important to find someone who specializes in Chinese herbs or herbology and food therapy regarding customized food and herb strategies.
Anxiety relief can be found naturally with food therapy & traditional Chinese herbs.

NUTRITION: HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE CAUSES & SOLUTIONS
What is happening in America? So many people walking around with high blood pressure (hypertension) and not getting any better. Obviously, this ailment is not understood except to treat the symptoms rather than the underlying problem. Below here are some pervasive stats from the American Heart Association that indicates just how this condition is not improving:
High blood pressure (hypertension) killed 57,356 people in the United States in 2005.
- About 73.6 million people in the United States age 20 and older have high blood pressure.
- One in three adults has high blood pressure.
- Of those people with high blood pressure, 78.7 percent were aware of their condition.
- Of all people with high blood pressure, 69.1 percent were under current treatment, 45.4 percent had it under control, and 54.6 percent did not have it controlled.
- The cause of 90-95 percent of the cases of high blood pressure isn’t known; however, high blood pressure is easily detected and usually controllable.
- From 1995 to 2005 the death rate from high blood pressure increased 25.2 percent, and the actual number of deaths rose 56.4 percent.
- Non-Hispanic blacks are more likely to suffer from high blood pressure than are non-Hispanic whites.
- Within the African-American community, those with the highest rates of hypertension, are more likely to be middle aged or older, less educated, overweight or obese, physically inactive, and to have diabetes.
- In 2005 the death rates per 100,000 population from high blood pressure were 15.8 for white males, 52.1 for black males, 15.1 for white females and 40.3 for black females
As you can see this is a serious epidemic in the U.S. and it seems we are not taking a deserving all out attack on this enemy. This is a more extreme threat than any terrorist attack. This is where the money and research needs to be focussed. Wouldn’t you agree?
It is very clear to see that one contributing cause of the condition is not knowing the origin which is essential to finding its solution.
The UNDERLYING CAUSE
DO YOU HAVE TOXIC BLOOD? HOW DOES THE BLOOD BECOME TOXIC?
When the blood becomes saturated with unfiltered blood then its ability to maintain body systems and organs is compromised. Blood quality determines every cell’s capability to carry out its function. The blood has the potential to nourish or pollute the entire body. As we age, over-stress, ingest a poor diet, etc. blood components can build up unless detoxification is employed or the primary blood filters in the body are supported to do their function.
The liver, spleen, and every circulatory system organ can be involved in an obstructive process that impedes natural blood flow. This results in the body lowering in energy or Qi (Traditional Chinese medicine), high blood pressure, with every body function suffering from poor nutrition and de-oxygenation. No amount of vitamins or minerals can overcome the level of toxicity that develops except through gradual elimination of toxins in the blood. If detoxification happens too quickly, then a crisis can occur where nausea, exhaustion, and further setbacks in the cleansing process. If elimination is allowed to proceed on a gradual improving pace then expulsion is optimized. This requires working with the body as opposed to making physiology conform to a standardized strategy.
If the blood remains toxic for too long then an acidic environment is created. The result is a breakdown of vascular walls. This involves a scarring effect with blood components filling in the damged areas. This build-up complicates the process of cleansing. If the circulatory plumbing is not cleared out then all organs suffer while the aging process speeds up. Its important at this stage that balance is re-established before established damage occurs.
There are different conditions that are involved with causation of toxic build-up. From a Chinese medicine perspective, the body can involve singular or multiple constitutional conditions. The primary (6) body types are:
cold<—————>hot
damp<————->dry
deficient<——–>excess
When the body becomes or specific organ become extreme in one of the constitutional conditions above then toxicity occurs. In order to move the imbalance or over toxicity to a balanced or neutral status, the body or its organ(s) need help to move in the other direction of the continuum.
Additionally, Its very important to discern which constitution is primary so treatment priority can be arrived at before tackling obvious symptoms. Again, the goal of the correction process is to achieve balance or neutral status. That is the mid-point between cold and hot, damp and dry, and deficient and excess. Establishing the center of these continuums brings about optimal health where the symptoms subside, health anchors.
Summary: Excess constitution with heat and dampness characteristics stemming from over-ingestion of rich, greasy, spicy, refined, intoxicating foods. Foods: excess red meat, eggs, cheese, fried foods, salt, excess sweet, refined & stale flour and oil products, chemicals, drugs and acoholic drinks.
When the body becomes overwhelmed by the above foods then the blood, organs and body becomes toxic and malfuctioning. The excess wears the body down into deficiency resulting in conditions of arthritis, tumor, diabetes, etc. The blockages in vasularity produces heat and pressure resulting in the following conditions - high blood pressure, constipation, excess weight, stroke and circulation ailments. The remedy is purging and cleansing.with bitter herbs and foods. Bitter cools and reduces dampness in the body. There may be exceptions which require a seasoned Master herbalist’s (traditional chinese herbs) input.

CHINESE MEDICINE - FOUR TIERS OF PRACTICE
Chinese herbs and medicine is a 4000 year practice as far as recorded history (between 2100 - 1700 B.C.) goes. But in probability, Chinese herbal has been used for as long as man has been in this region of the planet. The use, most likely, dates back to the populating of China. Given there is considerable argument here, we’ll agree, its been a long time. In general, the practice of Traditional Chinese herbal herbs fits prominently in Chinese medicine practices. In fact, if you specialize in this area alone, you could be very busy and well known for helping a lot of people. For your information, we will show its prioritized position in Chinese medicine and explain its application in this framework. The purpose of showing this order is to encourage customers to view physical conditions and their solution in a graduated process. By living in our fast paced life-style with high stress, long work hours, reduced family contact, fast food, low nutrition, reduced energy, etc., our immune system becomes extra challenged. It doesn’t happen over night and thus care is recommended at the same pace as the conditioned was entered. The exception occurs when illness is urgent and life-threatening.
TAM (Traditional Asian Medicine) CARE
(Four Tiers of Asian Medicine)
- Food Therapy
- Herbal Therapy
- Exercise: Tai Chi & Qi Gong
- Acupuncture & Cupping
I. FOOD THERAPY
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
- Hippocrates circa 431 B.C.
Traditional Chinese Medicine first employs food as a therapeutic tool. Why? Because we are very pre-occupied with food. Our stomachs will let us know that we are hungry, so most of us, unless we are imbalanced, will eat 1-6 times per day unless food is not available. Since we eat, its important to consider what we are eating due to the fact food has a major influence on the health of our bodies. If we drink pop, alcohol, eat desserts, cheese, candy, red meat, bread, processed foods, etc. then guess what happens to the body? It clogs up and gains weight and we get sick. If we eat vegetables, fruit, water, fish, then what happens? We open up, lose weight to balance and leanness and we can get well. The effective TAM practice will include food therapy with the knowledge of what food works best with a particular constitution. Ever heard of, “You are what you eat”? What that means, is that certain foods will definitely determine the cell quality in the tissues of your body. Food, ideally, provides substance to make energy from, benefitting the cells so they can do their job. The more energy, the more capacity your cells have to do their jobs. If they are obstructed with poor choices, that fit your wants, then the result will be illness. Foods that balance your ailing constitution, are essential to re-establishing your health. Master herbalists, sophisticated in this specialty, will recommend this strategy in order to form a foundation for other traditional Asian medicine. No matter what treatment methodology, allopathic or naturopathic, healing can be sabotaged, if food therapy is not seriously considered in the remedial process. Therefore, food therapy is critical to restoration of your health. Though food is a more subtle remedy, its gradual nourishing effect, has the power to restore, unnoticed, only because it takes more time. Thus, when we get sick, it is difficult, to connect the dots as to how we got in that condition.
This discussion of the Four Tiers of Chinese Medicine is further covered at Longevity Mountain. For those of you who desire to know the prioritized next 3 levels, Chinese herbs, Chinese medicine exercise and Accupuncture/Cupping.
