While subjects living in the suburbs rode in a car to get to wherever they wanted to go (supermarket or school etc), subjects in the city often walked there. This was responsible for the weight change.
Recognized experts agree that exercise has a greater bearing on losing weight than your diet. In terms of the relative impact that exercise and nutrition have on weight loss, it was said that exercise is accountable for 65% while nutrition is 35%.
Most experts agree that, in a perfect world, you would do a recommended fat burning exercise routine as well as addressing your nutrition, if you want to burn fat and achieve a permanent weight reduction. But the consumate human being and the consummate world does not exist.
