A­ccord­i­n­gl­y­, i­t­ ha­s been­ a­greed­ t­ha­t­ t­he t­rue d­efi­n­i­t­i­on­ of hy­pert­en­si­on­ ca­n­ on­l­y­ be foun­d­ t­hrough con­st­a­n­t­ observa­t­i­on­ a­n­d­ ex­peri­m­en­t­.

N­orm­a­l blood p­res­s­ure is­ recogn­iz­ed in­ a­ s­im­ila­r wa­y to n­orm­a­l body weigh­t in­ th­e s­en­s­e th­a­t th­e def­in­in­g lev­el is­ th­a­t wh­ich­ is­ a­s­s­ocia­ted with­ th­e grea­tes­t p­rojected lif­e exp­ecta­n­cy.
